Running in place, how can we claim escape? Running away from messes now, never cleans the slate. Trapped below the weight of it all An active repression of heart and soul Trapped below the surface This tension filled plane isn't giving in Restoring the light to the dark again Spreading the blame, how can we claim disdain? Accepting the shame was once profound, now it's all in vain Waist high, less chances left to waste time, is all I know I've lost control, I'm losing you, Atrophy takes hold as I continue sinking Head high, no chances left to waste time, is all I know I've lost control, I'm losing you, Atrophy takes hold as I continue sinking

The system has failed us, which means we have failed ourselves. Denying responsibility, accepting bigotous comfort. Corrupting "the best of us," exchanging disgust for trust, The pinnacle of deception, our fears are real. Rewriting the story, disguising the influence, Discriminatory, scales cover our eyes to obscure. A national pass-time born from dissonance. Forever divided, collective ignorance. Conflict and division, born to dehumanize. Form bricks out of paper, and pile them high. Righteous or ambiguous? Has below become above? If we all stand together can these sins be undone?

Hard Truths 05:03
Time will wash us all away. You're trapped in yours and I in mine. Salient pictures, an intrinsic mixture. The liquor of the fool drunk deep. What a sick sadistic game. Rules changing every time we play. Unholy scripture, no rigid stricture, Endless cacophony of blame. When I've lost my every love, and I'm nothing else but need, When convictions fall apart, will I still be considered me? Am I what's inside my heart, or does it only make me bleed? Will my head be filled with thoughts so dark that I no longer see? Are we the shepherd or the flock? Are "they" just "them" or can "us" be "we"? Is there a plan for all? Was it abstracted by a siren's call? A mass of conflicting beliefs. Where does your faith really lie? The lines on the ground or the ghost in the sky? If ignorance brings bliss, does truth bring imprisonment? How the fuck can you say "I'm free"? When I've found my only love, and there's nothing else I need, With convictions standing firm, Will I still be considered me? Am I what's inside my mind, or does it only let me think? Will my heart be filled with love so bright that I no longer see? Freedom has always been the illusion. There always comes a price to pay. Compassion's wasted, while violence is hastened. Humanity has lost it's way.

Idolatry 03:04
Take the best we have, throw it all away again. We need a change for real this time. We need a better way. We need a chance and not another carnival game. Ignore what's wrong or right, paint it all in the best light. All evidence to the contrary, ignorant idolatry. Blindly consuming everything, feeding your ego, not your mind. "We need a choice!" said while the noose is tightening. "We need a voice!" before we can no longer breathe. Bullheaded hypocrisy reigns. Defending lies that were made to their last breath. I'll never ride this train. The one that's headed to the future stoked with the fires of hate.

OutlawSong 04:20
Outside it's such a lovely day, As long as your allegiance is displayed, You can't live here if you want better, Proudly display your scarlet letters, Thin blue, Deep red. Ignore the facts unless a loved one's dead, Freedom for me, but not for you. "You'd be alive if you had just complied." Yeah, We keep 'em locked and loaded, Yeah, We're flying our flags high, Yeah, We're proving we're the outlaws, Yeah, By which ones we abide. We will no longer live in fear... Of anything, but losing guns, abortion and queers, Trigger words and made up agendas, Propagandized by bad pretenders. Pro-life, Pro-murder. Lose your usefulness and be deserted. You pay your penance with your life. Chemical dependency, From sea to shining sea, Until nothing's green but dollar bills.

Antecedent 03:00
Another lullaby, a darkness behind your eyes, Could never be another way. Upon innocence you've preyed, Creating victims which bear your name, So propagate another lie. You crossed that line long ago, But you never seemed to care. And I hate to say I told you so, But you were never there. A change ever more nigh, Divisive ignorance left and right, More unholy filicide. More translations warped by time, Your imagined control slipping by. I hope you feel that you've led a full life.

White Wolf 03:49
It's never ending, the sky's as wild as I have seen. It's ever changing, though failure is imminent, I say, Don't follow the white wolf, as admirable as it's goals may be. Does instinct or bravery drive us? Or is it curiosity? We keep pretending, but reflections betray what the truth will be. No use defending, I'm losing my faith again, nightly. (knowing where we came from is important, but the chasm between knowledge and glorification, is vast to those who are shallow minded) So follow the white wolf, believe in the hope that your eyes can't see. Does instinct or bravery drive us? Or is it pure insanity?
