The name I chose for this project, The Dark Lake, is in reference to a metaphor used by Marc Sessler of The ATN podcast (Around the NFL). Early this year one of the members of that podcast, Chris Wessling, sadly passed away after a battle with cancer. I never met the man, but I am thankful for the opportunity to hear him speak multiple times a week for the last 6 years. I was working on part of this song the day I learned he'd passed and I decided to make it somewhat of a tribute. Probably not even something that he'd be terribly interested in listening to. Rest easy Wess!

I always appreciate donations to get new gear, strings, etc. but maybe consider making a contribution to cancer research instead and enjoy this one for free!
